What your first visit looks like

Your first appointment is a thorough exam, not a rushed once-over. We take full-mouth and panoramic X-rays as a baseline, assess your gums, check your teeth and any older dental work, do a head-and-neck exam with screening for oral cancer and jaw-joint issues, look for signs of sleep apnea, and finish with a cleaning and polish. We also take records of your smile as it is today.

From there, Dr. Etemadi walks you through what he found and what he recommends — built around comfort, effectiveness and long-term oral health, and always with a written estimate before significant treatment begins.

What to bring

• Your insurance card or plan details
• A list of current medications and medical conditions
• Any dental X-rays taken in the last three years
• Completed new-patient forms — we'll provide these when you schedule

Patients under 18 need a parent or guardian with them at every visit, so we can discuss findings and treatment together.

Insurance and paying for care

We accept most major dental insurance plans — MetLife, Cigna, Premera, Delta Dental, Guardian, Regence, GEHA and others — and submit claims on your behalf for most PPO plans. If you're insured with us, only your estimated portion is due at the visit.

No insurance, or bigger treatment ahead? We offer payment plans, financing through Cherry with 0% APR options, and CareCredit. The full picture is on our financial info page.
