Family Dentistry

IN EVERETT, WA

One practice for every age — from a first tooth to a full restoration.

One practice, every stage

Family dentistry simply means we treat patients at every age rather than a single band. That has practical value: appointments for several family members can often be scheduled together, and we come to know your family's history rather than reading it off a chart each time.

For children, that means early visits framed around getting comfortable rather than being fixed. For adults, it means someone who has watched a tooth over years and knows whether that line was always there.

Practical continuity is the part patients notice. When we have watched a tooth for six years, we know whether that line was always there — which is the difference between watching something and drilling it. That history is much harder to reconstruct from records transferred between practices.

It matters clinically too. Susceptibility to decay, gum disease, grinding habits and even jaw shape tend to run in families. Seeing those patterns across relatives changes what we look for and when we look for it, and it shifts the emphasis towards preventing problems rather than repairing them.

Why families consolidate their care

  • Several family members can often be seen in the same visit rather than on separate days.
  • One practice holds the whole family's history, so patterns get spotted rather than re-explained.
  • Children grow up with the same familiar faces instead of being handed on at a certain age.
  • Treatment is planned around what the family can manage — in time as well as in cost.

What to expect

New patients of any age start with a comprehensive exam.

  1. 1 Get comfortable First visits are unhurried. For young children this may be little more than a ride in the chair, a count of the teeth, and a look around.
  2. 2 Exam and cleaning A full assessment appropriate to age, with X-rays only where they are genuinely needed.
  3. 3 A plan that fits Treatment sequenced around school, work and budget — we will tell you what is urgent and what can wait.

Building the habit

Children largely copy what they see. Brushing together, keeping the same six-month rhythm, and treating dental visits as unremarkable does more for a child's long-term oral health than anything we do in the chair.

Common questions about family dentistry

At what age should my child first see a dentist?
Within six months of the first tooth appearing, and no later than the first birthday. Early visits are mostly about familiarity — a ride in the chair, a count of the teeth — so that dental visits are ordinary long before anything needs doing.
Can our whole family be seen on the same day?
Usually, yes. Tell our scheduling coordinator when you call 425-353-5854 and we will group appointments where the schedule allows. Families with school-age children often prefer early morning slots.
Do you treat older patients and complex cases too?
Yes. Family dentistry means every age, from a first tooth through to implants, dentures and restorative work. Dr. Etemadi treats the full range in-house and will tell you plainly if something is better referred.
What should we bring to a first family visit?
Completed new patient forms, insurance information, a list of medications and medical conditions for each person, and any X-rays taken in the last three years.
What are your hours?
Monday to Thursday, 8:00 to 5:00, with a lunch closure from 12:00 to 1:00. We are closed Friday through Sunday. Our office is at 2121 E Madison St Suite A in Everett.
